Drs. Mark Perelmuter and Brian Glatt are on the cutting edge of orthodontics and use the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques available. They are both graduates of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, and are members of local, national and international dental and orthodontic organizations. Dr. Perelmuter is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. In order to stay current, they subscribe to major journals and regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars.
Dr. Mark Perelmuter
Dr. Perelmuter entered private orthodontic practice in 1980 with Dr. Theodore Segal, a well respected Louisville orthodontist. He is an authority in several areas of orthodontics, lectures internationally and has published articles in orthodontic journals. Dr. Perelmuter is a faculty member of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. In 2000, he became the first orthodontist in Kentucky to use the new Invisalign® system and is one of the most experienced orthodontists in the country using this method of clear, removable aligners. In his spare time, he is a musician and paints with oils.
Dr. Goldberg joined Dr. Perelmuter in January, 2007. A native of Morehead, KY, Dr. Goldberg completed his orthodontic training at the University of Colorado after two years of private practice and a one-year post-graduate residency at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Goldberg also lectures and trains other dentists and orthodontists in areas of expertise he developed during his orthodontic training, and is a long time friend and collaborator of Dr. Perelmuter’s. His passion, besides orthodontics, is biking and the outdoors.
Dr. Brian Glatt
Dr. Glatt hails from Knoxville, Tennessee and swam varsity at Sewanee: The University of the South, where he was an Academic First Team All-American and received his BS in biology. Dr. Glatt ranked number 3 in his class and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Dr. Glatt then completed his dental training at the University of Kentucky, finishing second in his class and being inducted into the National Dental Honor Society and receiving the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholar award. His research has focused on growth maturation in the African American population, as well as various projects in the field of microbiology.
While at UK, Dr. Glatt volunteered in free dental clinics for uninsured adults and provided free dental care to disadvantaged youths in the Lexington area. Dr. Glatt completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Louisville. He was the Chief Resident at the University of Louisville and his treatment philosophies and dedication to patient care closely mirror those of Dr. Perelmuter. He is very personable and energetic, and we cannot wait for you to meet him!
